Tempting rhythm, a softly spoken roar,
Seductively spewing forth empty truths,
Softly, softly, the heart asks, nothing more

Listen a while, to screaming cut-throat claws.
Life giving killer, cruelly draining youth
Tempting rhythm, a softly spoken roar

Flattering to flirt, so all could adore,
Deceitful poison, it blossomed and grew,
Softly, softly, the heart asks, nothing more

Crashing and sweeping, a tide to our shore,
Covering sands in a lightly dark hue.
Tempthing rhythm, a softly spoken roar

Divert your attention, secretly for
Leperous gardeners to wither in dew,
Softly, softly, the heart asks, nothing more

Conquered mistruths leave you broken and raw
Learning from this gives an untainted view
Tempting rhythm, a softly spoken roar
Softly, softly, the heart asks, nothing more.
